The Charter Schools, Research and Accountability Department is responsible for providing leadership in charter school authoization and monitoring, research studies, program evaluation, and assessment coordination in the district. This includes the writing and review of charter petitions, developing and managing the student academic assessment system, meeting specific state and federal reporting and evaluation requirements, providing research and evaluation support to sites, and providing information to sites to assist in educational planning.
